How We Work
Every engagement begins with a focused review. What comes next depends on what your firm needs — and how far you want to go.
A focused billing and operational assessment designed to identify fee inconsistencies, billing accuracy gaps, audit readiness concerns, and workflow inefficiencies. Every finding is fully documented and delivered within 2–4 weeks.
Fixed fee: $3,500 — applied toward any full engagement
For firms ready to act on what the review finds. We build the plan: fee alignment strategy, billing accuracy corrections, workflow redesign, operational documentation, and remediation guidance scoped to your firm's complexity.
Starting at $12,500 — scoped to firm complexity
For firms that want hands-on support through execution. We oversee billing corrections, coordinate workflow changes, guide advisor and staff adoption, and verify audit readiness post-implementation.
Customized based on scope and complexity
About
GracePoint was founded by Anne Taylor, an RIA operations professional with nearly two decades of experience supporting billing oversight, workflow efficiency, operational systems, and revenue alignment initiatives within advisory firms.
I've worked in nearly every corner of the business — fee billing, custodian reconciliation, ADV filings, SEC exam preparation, operational workflows, and the systems that keep an advisory firm running well.
In one engagement, a full billing and operations review uncovered more than $420,000 in additional recurring annual revenue — fully documented and SEC-defensible. That result is what GracePoint Consulting is built on.
By the Numbers
The Engagement Process
A focused billing and operational assessment. We review fee schedules, custodial configurations, household-level pricing, and workflow systems. Every finding is documented and prioritized. Delivered in 2–4 weeks. Fixed fee: $3,500.
We build the plan. Fee alignment strategy, billing accuracy corrections, workflow redesign, operational documentation, and remediation guidance. Scoped to your firm's complexity and depth of review findings. For firms ready to act on what the review found.
Hands-on operational support through execution. We oversee billing corrections, coordinate workflow changes, guide advisor and staff adoption, and verify audit readiness post-implementation. For firms that want more than a plan.
Why This Happens
Left unaddressed, these gaps don't just affect revenue — they create audit exposure, client trust issues, and the kind of operational disarray that regulators notice. It doesn't happen because a firm was careless. It happens because firms grow, platforms change, and systems gradually become disconnected. The gaps accumulate quietly — often for years — before anyone takes a systematic look.
When advisors join, leave, or are acquired, their accounts often carry fee structures that never get reconciled to the firm's current schedule.
Platform migrations are complex. Billing configurations that worked on the old system are rarely set up identically on the new one.
Fee schedules established years ago often remain in place long after the firm's pricing, minimums, and service model have evolved.
As firms grow, the informal processes that worked at $100M become inconsistent at $300M. No one broke anything — the firm just outgrew its systems.
Many firms operate across more than one billing platform or custodian. Inconsistencies between systems are common and difficult to catch from the inside.
Procedures written years ago, for a smaller team, with different technology. Still followed. Rarely questioned. Often the source of the most preventable errors.
